I'm thinking Mama will do well with the post tomorrow so I will use this opportunity to wish you all a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving today. There is much to be thankful for and I am.
Mama and I have decided that the workout for today and tomorrow will be one hour of cardio to help off-set the caloric intake that is sure to happen.
As much as I am looking forward to enjoying a traditional Thanksgiving - I am hoping to approach a very predictable routine with some freshness. I want to end the day having learned something new about those I think I know everything about.
What does this have to do with fitness and health? Well, if I can spend a little more time enriching my relationships - I am sure to keep some healthy balance in a day that is very much centered around food. The word for tomorrow is savor. Savor those around me and savor the food before me. It is all about slowing down and truly enjoying.
Helpful hint: The slower you eat the less likely you are to over-indulge. You have all day, deny yourself nothing that you enjoy but do it at a savoring pace.
